Currently, China’s shipbuilding industry is at a critical stage of intelligent transformation, yet it faces significant challenges such as uneven automation levels, fragmented information systems, and insufficient 3D digital process design capabilities, which severely hinder high-quality development. To address these issues, NAEC has launched a comprehensive intelligent shipbuilding solution that deeply integrates advanced technologies, covering the entire process from planning and design to production and quality inspection. This solution eliminates “breakpoints” and “bottlenecks” in the manufacturing chain, enabling full-chain, full-cycle digital reconstruction and intelligent upgrading of shipbuilding processes.

Intelligent Shipyard | Digital System Solutions
We have developed a top-level architecture consisting of five core modules: Intelligent Decision-Making, Management System, MOM (Manufacturing Operations Management), Data Connectivity, and Infrastructure Platform. By collecting real-time operational data from on-site equipment, the system enables dynamic monitoring and visual management of the entire production process. Leveraging big data analytics, scientific analysis models and decision-making mechanisms are established, shifting management from “experience-driven” to “data-driven.”Through a digital-first approach, shipyard operations are fully empowered, allowing real-time insights into business processes, precise early warnings, and intelligent regulation. This significantly enhances problem identification, risk prediction, and overall operational efficiency.

Shipyards often face difficulties in tracking material information and logistics status in real time, and inter-departmental coordination is limited. These issues make logistics costs hard to control and trace during shipbuilding.
Relying on IoT and big data, NAEC Aote has independently developed shipyard ERP/MOM systems and Logistics Control System (LCS) to act as a “smart brain” for comprehensive logistics management.

NAEC provides a complete shipbuilding engineering prefabrication solution, including raw material preprocessing, plate and profile cutting, panel welding, subassembly welding, flat section welding, pipe processing, and finished/semi-finished product buffering. We deliver full-process, lean, intelligent factory and workshop lines tailored for shipbuilding customers.

Raw Material Preprocessing
Raw material preprocessing prepares steel plates before cutting. Key equipment includes plate flat storage, profile vertical storage, shot blasting machine, leveling machine, paint booth, drying room, as well as necessary roller conveyors and lifting equipment.

Plate Cutting Production Line
The plate cutting line includes loading stations, laser bevel cutting stations, pallet transfer stations, large-part and small-part processing areas, roller conveyors, RGVs, AGV carts, and various material bins.

Profile Cutting Production Line
The profile cutting line consists of profile storage towers, laser marking, laser cutting, short-part sorting, long-part sorting, roller conveyors, AGV carts, and material bins.

Subassembly Welding Production Line
The subassembly welding line is used to manufacture shipyard subassembly components. It includes subassembly assembly stations, welding stations, repair and grinding stations, discharge stations, and conveyor roller lines.

Panel Welding Production Line
The panel welding line is designed for producing flat ship sections. It includes pre-panel assembly stations, front-side welding, flipping stations, backside welding, marking stations, longitudinal beam lifting and installation, beam welding, repair and grinding stations, output stations, panel transport vehicles, and hydraulic lifting vehicles.

Pipe Processing Production Line
The pipe processing line consists of raw material vertical storage, rust removal and marking stations, fixed-length cutting stations, bevel grinding stations, four-point pipe welding stations, automatic pipe grinding stations, roller conveyors, intelligent truss sorting systems, pipe part storage, automatic grinding stations, and bending machines.
